What is empowerment?

Growing up in the Southeast “Hood” of Dallas, a seed was planted and Hilda was inspired “I want women to know they too can enter the field of Fire-Rescue despite their background or gender.”

We booked our photography session on the bridge that connects Oak Cliff to Downtown Dallas. This is the bridge Hilda ran multiple times when training to pass the Dallas Fire-Rescue Physical Ability Test.

A true reflection of resilience and empowerment, trailblazing and closing the gap.
